Primordial Soup

A mixture of ambient music and alternative pop. My style usually noted for its vocal tracks, use of voice as sound effect or instrument and sparse accompaniments. Note that wav samples are only poor quality 8 bit files that do not reflect the recording quality of the album.

  Piano solo. Original idea an exploration of what happens when you break a rulein traditional 2 part writing. With a Bartok Mikrokosmos-like trio.

  Synth solo. Revelling in the complexity of a single sound on the Roland D-50 synthesizer.

  Study No. 1

  Piano solo. Original idea was a piece that would be the least harmful to play by people with RSI: i.e. a short piece of legato two-part writing with minimal repetitious playing. Also keeps the hands on the keyboard throughout to reduce neck strain from static loading. Reflective piece.
