Today
Opus has evolved into a
non-profit, independentopen
community of electronic bands,
solo artists and DJs based in Melbourne Australia. Opus
has been the launching pad of the
careers of many bands and artists who are aiming at major
releases, as well as an outlet of
those artists who simply wish to share their music with
the world.
Through the pooling of individual resources: be they financial,
creative, technical or social,
the Collectives aim is to assist its members in getting
their music onto the Opus Collective
CDs and get the music onto the stage with regular live gigs
in and around Melbourne.
The Collective meet once a month at various pubs and cafes
in and around the inner suburbs of Melbourne. See the '
next meeting ' link in the menu above for details of when
Opus Collective next get together. If you have a love of
electronic music in any of its forms, we'd love to see you
there.

[ electronic sounds from independent melbourne ]
With
the past releases there has been a
concentration on vocal / pop based tracks. With Opus
Collective Volume 4 we are swinging the gates wide
open to embrace all the incredibly diverse forms of
electronic sounds coming
out of the city of Melbourne.
This service will hopefully save us all a lot of
time with keeping in touch with each other.
It will also help new people to get in touch with
us further down the track
